Very nice lobby and washroom. The hallways and rooms are that of what you would find in a 3/3.5 star hotel by western standards. The rooms are not what... you would expect in a 4 star hotel but because of the humidity in China it's hard for anything to look new. My carpets were mildly stained but the room generally looked well cleaned and there was no worry of vermin. In comparison and consideration of the area (downtown guangzhou), this hotel will seem like it's 4 stars. The staff are very helpful and friendly, although you will find that the fitness room is perpetually closed. (people rarely use the fitness facilities) Lastly, there is a very convenient shuttle at the hotel that goes straight to the airport every 15 minutes.
