    Having had read bad reviews of almost all of the hotels in Rio (especially in the Copacabana area), I wasn’t sure whether I should believe what I could find online about the Arena Hotel. But the reviewers were absolutely right! The hotel is newly renovated, the rooms are clean and specious, breakfast was delicious and most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful! And again, I have to repeat what other people already said – Aldo, the receptionist, was amazing! Friendly, funny and extremely helpful! Having him around made the trip top Rio much more enjoyable and entertaining.

    The second visit (September 2010) confirmed first visit, that high standard of service is on continous basis. Hotel restaurant quality is good, but a limited choise available. Hotel bar is nice and not noisy. Rooms have a good space only bathroom is, let us say, limited in space. Gym has received partial upgrade to new equipment and is improving. Within 5 minutes walks of the hotel a variety of restaurants are available. Both Sao Paulo airports are in comfortable reach and fixed prices for taxi available. I will use it again.
