Its state capital, Nashville has plenty of legendary country music venues and lively honky-tonks. Visit Bristol, and you’ll be in bluegrass heaven. In Memphis, you shouldn’t miss the King of Rock n’ Roll’s Graceland.

Escape the dazzling neon lights and buzzing music by heading out to great Tennessee outdoors, where you can explore mountain towns and wooded trails. There are the mist-covered highlands of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its lush forests and the picturesque Appalachian Trail. One of the best bases for heading out and taking in all these is Pigeon Forge, a town on the rolling green foothills.
