Calinda Beach Acapulco

There was a small leak of water coming out from the AC on the side of the bed.

There was a fire in garage, we had to evacuate hotel.

One good thing this hotel has is location. There is a lot of nearby places to eat and shop. What we didnt like about this hotel is the elvator during the weekend was always busy we were on the 3rd floor and after waiting for several minutes we decided to just walk up the stairs we did this all weekend long. There were three elevators but only two of them worked. Also, we had trouble with our room keys and went to the lobby to get it fixed . After more than 20 minutes Sheyla the receptionist helped us but gave us an attitude and was a bit rude.

All areas is nice and cleans all personal is very professional

4 pm check in is pretty late. In the old days, you checked in at 12 so it is feasible. Sliding door lock was busted, creating a security risk. Room service was slow ... 1.5 hrs to get an extra towel. No ice machines...you have to go a pool bar to get ice. The bar has to be open and its hands down the farthest trek you will ever make for hotel The sanborn restaurant is excellent. The delfin restaurant disappointed us. Otherwise, this business is excellent and we would recommend to others. We know of no other hotel able to match its bang for the buck.

Unfortunately there is a disco accross the street and Friday and Saturdsy nights the noise goes till 9 a.m.

When my father and I first checked into the hotel, it was a Monday afternoon and there was a lot of people standing in line to check in. The check in process took over 45 minutes and we still had to wait for our room to be ready. But to be fair, we did have until 4 pm, and arrived at 12:30 pm in the afternoon. The beach is fantastic! I enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella at the beach. The water was warm and excellent! The pool was fantastic! My father and I had a great time!

It is a great hotel but you need to be on a high floor level if you do not want noise especially Friday or Saturday.

A bit dated and no hot drinks facilities in the room but comfortable bed and plenty of towels. Superb views. Slightly strange having to wear a Calinda Beach wrist band for 4 days everywhere we went but probably the only way to distinguish guests from outsiders in this hotel with a completely open frontage. Staff all very courteous and helpful.

Checked in on a Tuesday... took shower within a hour of checking in and drain was clogged, water overflowed into room; also - forgot there were no towels in room had to find cleaning person to get towels. Tried to call down to guest services—- phone in room did not work, informed the staff about 5 times about phone and got no resolution! Room was on 24th floor and was shocked that my patio door lock was broken. The room had no frills, would not recommend to friends and will never stay in this establishment again. The only positive experiences were with the cleaning staff and the lobby bartender Hector Augustinian Arellano- I was sick the last two days and could not use phone to call for room service or doctor; so I had to muster enough energy to go to the convenient store and lobby bar where Hector was able to order me soup and delivered to my room! This hotel is not a place to stay when visiting Acapulco.
