La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas North Central

The stay was good. Elevator was a little scary. The small store barely had anything in it. Needs to be stocked.

Nothing special. I was there just for a quick overnight so there no actual "service items" to judge, just "quick and dirty."

Overall I was slightly dissatisfied with my stay at the hotel. It wasn’t anything special, but it met the accommodation needs. I will say there were a few issues that I did try to address but was met with stark resistance to helping the situation. First, the staff was luke warm at best when I let them know the room would not get cool. They did get me a box fan but the room never got cool nor was there an opportunity to move rooms. Second, the housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning/resetting the room. We had to ask for (refills) coffee, toiletries and the same amount of towels we started with. Lastly, the last two nights there were a couple of dogs barking all afternoon and night. I also advised her that one dog lunged growling at us, teeth bared when we were walking down the hall and the owner opened her door. When I complained, I was initially told someone would take care of it….no one ever did. When I complained further, I was told, rudely, that “we are pet friendly”. I acknowledged that, but that doesn’t mean I have to be kept awake all night because a dog is barking and barking and barking. The young lady told me I should have requested security. I advised her that in complaining to the desk, wouldn’t that be your job…not mine? She let me know several times that the hotel was pet friendly. I respect that, but if I can’t sleep because the dog is barking…the dog wins because you’re pet friendly?

The bed was hard which made it uncomfortable. The pillows were flat, had no fluff to it. For the price I paid, I would expect it to be more comfortable. Housekeeping was phenomenal in not bothering us when we had our do not disturb sign on the door. You wouldn’t even know they were cleaning on the floor with how quiet they were to let visitors sleep.
