Overpriced for what you get
This was my birthday weekend. I thought I would treat myself and get a very nice and expensive hotel. I paid way more than I usually would have for a hotel room so I was expecting a bit more. I was shocked to find out I had to pay $10 a night to park my car at the hotel lot. The hotel lot was disconnected from the actual hotel by a flight or two of stairs. There is also no breakfast unless you paid a lot for it, two people can eat very well for less than what they charged for one person. The hotel had a great aesthetic appeal. Aesthetic appeal doesn't help you feel rested after a long drive. Aesthetic appeal doesn't fill your stomach in the morning. Aesthetic appeal doesn't have free parking. Aesthetic appeal doesn't have convenient parking. The room was mostly nice. The pillows were very hard. Some wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling off. The bathroom sink faucet had uncontrolled flow that splattered everywhere. My experience had me arriving late at night after a 7 hours of drive. I was caught off guard with an unexpected fee as soon as I checked in. As soon as I found parking I then had to haul luggage up a flight of stairs to get back to the front of the hotel. (Loved paying for parking that wasn't even that close to the hotel.) If you are a wealthy person and are used to paying extra go here. If you are a budget traveler expecting a nice hotel experience go somewhere else; book the suite at your choice of hotel for a 'fancy' room experience.

We changed hotels due to the first one having unacceptable service and terrible rooms. Paul and the staff at the Hyatt were so good to us. They helped us even when we were last minute bookings and also when our rental car broke down. We highly recommend.
