Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Grand Rapids Airport

This hotel is just ok. It could be good or great but the staff were unfriendly and unresponsive except for Amanda. Amanda was amazing and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Amanda! We look forward to seeing you again soon! Unfortunately the breakfast was horrible and the seating area was a mess and the garbage over flowing each day. The staff just walked by it each day and didn't address the tables or the trash until all the guests were cleared out. The rooms are ok and nice enough to come back and visit again. I just hope they can work with the staff a little to get them to smile and be more helpful, other than Amanda, of course. The wifi was down the whole weekend, which isn't their fault, but it would have been nice to have. Over all, it was ok and worth trying again. Thank you!

Great, clean hotel. Pool area was filled with loud kids until late. Consider adult swim hours.

Our room was clean and comfortable. But this property is in poor condition. Wallpaper peeling of the wall, stained and broken ceiling tiles, room darkening curtain had many rips and holes in it...stuff like that. The breakfast was good once they finally brought out refills of everything. They weren't very busy but when the food ran out, we had to wait 15+ minutes for them to bring out more. And, by a mistake of staff, we learned that we could have gotten the room for $20 less if we had booked directly with them instead of hotels.com.

Check in was fast, the room was HUGE and clean. Nice and quiet. Staff was friendly. Hotel was easy to find. Clean on the outside too. Passed on breakfast because I had plans. Smelled really good though. Only one complaint, the bed. Really too hard, very very firm. Took me till 3am to fall asleep. Sore in the morning.

A place to stay when near the airport. Tired old rooms, but clean and spacious.
