Not impressed
After checking in - we went out for dinner. When we returned tor the hotel I noticed the fire alarm panel at the front desk was indicating trouble signals for the kitchen system, a common trouble and a buzzer silence.
I spoke to the front desk staff, he responded that it was only precautionary signals. I told him I work in the fire service, I am very familiar with fire alarm panels and it is NOT precautionary it is in fact an issue that requires immediate attention in an occupied hotel. He assured me he was calling someone for service.
When I was leaving the hotel the next morning, the same issues were still present on the fire alarm panel and nobody was at the desk. There was no notice to guests that there was an issue or that it was being dealt with.
It’s very concerning that a matter like this is disregarded while guests are paying full rates with no idea there’s a problem. Every guest has an expectation of safety and the right to demand it.
