Aurora Inn Hotel & Event Center, Ascend Hotel Collection

The Hotel owner has done a wonderful renovating the Hotel. The Bartender needs an attitude adjustment. He couldn't get out of there fast enough. He had 4 people sitting at the bar and was so not willing to stay and did nothing but complain. But overall GREAT job on the comfort of the hotel and we will be staying there again and again.

What an incredibly clean, friendly place to stay. If it were possible to give this Inn more than 10 at highest...I would want to go 100 higher!! Great food in restaurants and staff goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant.

Hotel is lovely but there are some oddities to the layout. To get to our room we had to walk through the restaurant/bar, through a banquet hall, down some stairs, up some stairs. Miledly inconvenient but downright awkward when there was a reception / banquet underway. Also the tear down of the banquet hall at 11:30 was very noisy through the ceiling above.

Terrible experience. I arrived late afternoon and there was no parking for hotel guests due to a wedding reception at the hotel, so I had to park down the street in a grass field. Clerk essentially said too bad because the wedding guests need to park there. When I checked in I had to walk though their restaurant with luggage to get to my room (no hallway to room, just outside entrance to hallway). The reception with hundreds of guests in a large tent next to the sleeping rooms provided loud blaring music making it impossible to sleep. I called front desk several times during the evening but no one answered. Once a clerk finally answered she said she would inform the events manager, but that had no effect on the loud noise. When the loud music continued past 11 pm I called the police. The hotel clerk told me the next day that they had a permit for the wedding reception until 11:30 pm and was not sympathetic at all that guests could not sleep. Music continued until almost midnight then there were several loud guests (I assume anebriated) running through the halls. Still waiting for manager to call me about my request for a refund. If you're a party animal and don't sleep this might be a good hotel for you, but if you're looking for a hotel to relax and get to sleep before midnight and get reasonable customer service you should probably look elsewhere.
