What La Quinta is doing is to have you put down a $75 deposit at arrival. They run the charge thru and then refund 10 days later. When you consider how many rooms they are renting at $75 and investing overnight for 10 days. They are making a lot of money off the deal in interest. There is nothing in the room that would create any incidental charge. The room is average.

My wife and I were volunteering at an event for 5 days. The location was perfect for us (10 minute drive) and there were many great places to eat and shop in the area. Hotel was a bit old but well kept. We declined any cleaning of our room while there - they are suffering from lack of a full staff but are making the best of a country wide problem. On Sat. I was trying to have my room keys reset as they were not working and a couple was arguing and nearly fighting with the desk clerk because there room wasn't ready. I think the desk clerk did an excellent job, keeping calm, and explaining that a short cleaning staff that day had extended the schedule and it would be another 1 to 2 hours before the room would be ready - they were not accepting his position. Finally after 15 minutes I asked them to step aside so that the gentleman in front of me and I could get our business completed. His wife had a cooler head and pulled her husband aside. I did not see the clerk again as I left the next day ... I hope he didn't need police intervention.

There should be more security. Back doors were propped open with cones for anyone to enter. This was an uncomfortable feeling

Ants in bathroom but that gave us another room. Bathroom vent inoperable due to severely dirty intake. Bath curtain rod loose enough the curtain falls away from the walls while showering. Bed worn out, you can feels humps in the center and on each side towards the edge of mattress. Not sure why but in the hall on our floor a giant section of carpet cut out. Carpet in dire need of vacuuming in hallway. Furniture in lobby had holes in it and was dirty on the edge of arms.

We needed to stay in the area unexpectedly. We had a dog with us. It was great to find a nice place to stay at the last minute. Also, we needed to use biz center (one desk top and a printer). It was sufficient for our purpose. The frond desk people were professional and friendly. Our pup got some milk bones. For him, this is the best hotel to stay!

The pillows on the bed are far too small . The vents fir the a/c are pointed directly fir the bed. Other than small issues , it was comfortable and safe .

Absolutely horrible customer service at the front desk. I have traveled all over the United States and the customer service I received from the young man at the front desk was appalling. Not only did it take 30 minutes to check in, the gentleman ran my card x4 for a 75 dollar incidental. The card did not go through and I told him this was a mistake, as I have been using my card all day with no concerns. He then stated I needed to call my bank, the bank is closed as it was a Saturday. He then asked me how much money was in my checking account, with three other people behind me. Highly unprofessional and unnecessary to ask someone that question. I ended up getting checked in after 20 minutes (50 minutes total) and decided to try to use my card at a local restaurant, in which the card worked after all. Not only was my experience horrible, but two other customers had the same experience, in which one requested a refund for the terrible service. Horrible, horrible customer service and very embarrassing..

Upon arrival we were put on the first floor wing with patrons who had pets. Not requested. Had to get a remote for the tv from front desk..no biggie. After about an hour 6:30 pm i realized the room door did not lock from the outside. Turn the handle and your in. I immediately went to front desk and was told nothing could be done until the morning and no other rooms were available on the first floor which i never requested. Later that night the interior door handle fell off in my wife's hands reported to front desk (Fire Hazard)The next day 8:30 am i had to remind the front desk. A maid was sent, tinkered for a few, in loose terms reattached the door handle, it fell off again. Exterior lock never repaired. I went back to the front desk explained that yesterday we (4 of us) were in the for the night but today would be out all day. I was told maintenance would not be back until Monday and no rooms were available. We visited family for the day concerned about our possessions or just somebody walking in with free reign. We pre paid through Hotels.com, got the feeling talking to the persons at the front desk that since we paid through a third party that we were out of luck for any compensation for our inconvenience or the changing of rooms
