This property could be a 10 but is sadly lacking, especially for the price! Staff was mostly friendly. Housekeeping was great! Very clean. Property is a nice quaint size, great spot on beach which was also kept raked and clean.
However, the property has seen its better days. The front porch deck of our room was falling apart. My husband actually fell through a board! Boards loose needing a full deck replacement. Boards in bar/ dining same thing. Our room was literally overtaken with diesel fumes from their generator 2 out of 4 nights. We didn't sleep at all. Complained at front desk and was told fumes were from somewhere else. Regardless, it made sleeping impossible! Not to mention the club next door blasts music till all hours of the night. We brought earplugs and that helped.
The bar/ restaurant has shortened hours so don't plan on an early coffee or an afternoon beverage.
More family stayed in 3 other rooms / same trip. Low water pressure, poor drainage in showers, doors not closing all the way etc. We paid A LOT for this room which 3 of us shared at almost $700/ night
Expensive for even US prices let alone Mexico. I can overlook a few things, it is Mexico, however for the price for value, the gas fumes in particular would keep me away.
