Liked the location. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you ask they will provide but shouldn’t have to ask for regular service like towels etc. Beds were comfortable and there is a pool and workout area. Pool closes but 24 hour fitness room was good. I would stay again.

We live in town and booked this room because of a record heatwave we were experiencing. We looked for a room that had AC (check), pet friendly (check--no pet fees!) and had a pool...I specifically called before booking it to make sure the pool was open. I was assured that it was. However, they failed to tell me you had to reserve a time to swim. So when we checked in and asked about the pool, we were informed that all pool times were booked that day and the following day. FAIL La Quinta. Someone checking in at the same time was also not given that information and they were planning on having a little girl's birthday party there. Even though the pool was not available, we were grateful that we had a good night's sleep in an air-conditioned room. One last suggestion: if you are as pet friendly as you are, you should have a designated area for pets to relieve themselves and not make customers walk around the property looking for a scrap of grass.

It was ok. The hotel was very worn and dated. Some upgrades such as new paint would have really helped. It was in an interesting part of town, would most likely not stay there again.

The room was alright but the front desk person at checkin was incredibly rude and unpleasant. The room was alright. No frills or anything. The front desk person was rude when he said I couldn’t use the card I provided. And then he got frustrated that I was using a MasterCard for my alternative card because their “system doesn’t do well with MasterCard”. That’s your problem, not mine. And if you’re going to be rude about it, maybe you should fix your system. I will not be returning solely because of the treatment by front desk staff. Retrain them or get someone else.

Our flight was significantly delayed and we didn’t arrive until 5am the next morning. Hotel staff was excellent in getting us picked up from the hotel and into a room with early grab and go breakfast. I highly recommend this location due to excellent customer service.

Hotel is nice and accommodations were clean and comfortable. Staff members were nice but didn't go out of their way to greet patrons. They would have conversations with each other and didn't seem to acknowledge hotel guests unless the guest approached the desk. Grab and go breakfast was more like a snack. Might be enough food for a young kid but seemed minimal compared to other hotels I've stayed at during the pandemic. I did feel a little uncomfortable with the area. There was a homeless person cruising through the parking lot while I was parking and then a couple arguing outside. I didn't have a terrible stay but would probably be looking what other options are available next time.

We were traveling with a large dog, and la Quinta was the only hotel in the area that I could find at a reasonable price that would allow us to bring our dog. They were great! The airport shuttle was on time, allowed our dog to be out of her crate (since she just spent a long day flying in it) and allowed her to be outside of her kennel in the hotel. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and they had a menu for restaurants that would deliver since we did not have a car. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again if I am traveling through Portland.

The room we originally stayed in was fine up until about 1am. We had the loudest neighbor who did not care how loud he was. I think he was talking on the phone for about two hours and we heard his whole conversation. I called the front desk and they tried to call him twice but it continued. We finally asked to move at 2 in the morning. The room they put us in was quiet but smelled like cigarette smoke. My partner’s allergies were going crazy at first but at least it was quiet until 7 am... more loud neighbors. The people next to us were fighting in the morning about leaving on time. The walls are paper thin. I will never stay here again.

Very Great customer service, very clean. Whenever l take another trip to Portland l Will different be staying at this hotel ONLY!!!! They shuttle service is very convenient as well
