The Iroquois New York

Went to NY for Thanksgiving. Hotel location is excellent. Small hotel but service is incredible. Short distance from subway stop, Broadway, 5th avenuez

There is a major problem at front desk. THE TWO MOST CRUCIAL TIMES I NEEDED A PORTER.....NO ONE TO BE FOUND. If you are a senior citizen or disabled Anerican...think twice before booking here.....There is two employees who stick out DJ....or TJ....and Dina....the furst one was ftom the Phillipines and the srcond one was ftom Egypt....The location is good...rooms nice appointments...back rooms very quiet...I am still hoping this hotel might be come my main stay....

I did not realize that the restaurant was closed due to renovations

This hotel has a great location and wonderful service. Unfortunately we were there during a major construction project. The window in our room on the second floor was 3/4 covered with plastic sheeting surrounding the restaurant renovation below. Construction noise started early too. We did get a voucher for a complimentary breakfast for one of the three days we were there.

I was not advised when booking my stay at the Iroquois through hotels.com that the restaurant and bar were closed, as was part of the Reception, undergoing months of refurbishment. When I registered my disappointment at not being pre-advised of this, the Hotel Manager was very proactive and and understanding. He provided me with breakfast vouchers and refunded part of the cost of my stay. No-one from hotels.com has made any attempt to contact me and to explain why they allowed me to book the Iroquois through their website when a large part of the hotel was under construction. I find this standard of service from hotels.com to be disappointing and unacceptable and in sharp contrast to the actions taken by the Management of the Iroquois Hotel.
