Beautiful, laid back resort
We had a beautiful beach front hut. Views were incredible and the beach bar was laid back with great service, although poor / no vegetarian options for lunch and was overcharged for drinks when we paid in USD. Good location near lots of other resorts and short taxi ride into the pueblo.
Breakfast was served in the neighbouring Coco Unlimited resort 300m down the road. Breakfast options included were decent and good variety. Although occasionally service was slow.
Acknowledging the proximity to nature and tropical location, we did struggle with lots of ants in the room, with one morning waking up to find ants in our bed. We flagged with reception and they changed the bedding immediately to their credit.
We visited in July and the heat and humidity was extreme. The air conditioning unit in the hut was no match for it and meant we often struggled to keep cool. Occasionally the air con would switch off and we’d be unable to switch on again - again reception were super helpful and attentive in getting this fixed.
Other complaints about hearing loud music from a neighbouring resort were also true. However was only a problem during the day and ended early in the evening so not a massive issue.
Worth noting all of Tulum has insane amounts of seaweed during summer months making it hard to swim.
