Kfar Maccabia Hotel and Suites in Ramat Gan

I upgraded to a family suites because the 4star 'business hotel room' was not as nice as the family suites. Bathroom is much much better in the suites.

Het viel ons tegen voor deze prijs. We hadden meer verwacht van het hotel. Het eten in het restaurant was maar matig en toch behoorlijk prijzig. Ook het ontbijt was niet zo bijzonder.Zouden dit geen tweede keer kiezen!

Pretty disappointing overall. This hotel is not cheap, but the service doesn't match the price. For example, use of the gym is at additional cost, there is no drinking water provided in the rooms and room service only operates when the bar and restaurant are open. Woe betide anyone arriving after 11pm and hungry: your only options for food will be a pitiful selection of snacks and drinks from vending machines and little or nothing in the surrounding area. On the plus side breakfast is good with lots of choice and the pool area is reasonable.

We only went here as it was suppose to be near the airport and hotel.com listed an Airport Shuttle as one of the hotel services. Very sadly the hotel told us to take a taxi at a cost of 70 shekels ($20 with tip) to get there from the train station. It is not near the airport and it cost us 140 shekels ($35) to go to the airport. We were promised a 4 a.m. shuttle and then there was no shuttle. The desk had to call their vender twice to get the not included shuttle to show up. If we had to do it over, we would not stay at this hotel. We had friends who did find another hotel that did have a free hotel shuttle. We would have been better off (over $200 for the room and transportation) just going the night before, even very late, on a flight to Istanbul or another destination.

I would highly recommend this hotel for the business or family traveler. There are also many meeting rooms available for training, seminars and conferences. Not far from a local shopping area with Cafe, Grocery, Bank, Post Office and Green grocer.
