I'll start with the positives: Location is really good. The beach is very nice and clean and the umbrella 2 chairs were included in our rate. Our suite was large (king sofa bed) and was clean. We booked an oceanfront suite with balcony and you can barely see the ocean from the 1st room we got (room 226) due to palm trees being in the way. When we were moved to room 326 the ocean view was nicer.
And now the negatives: the air conditioning in the rooms (yes, both rooms) is very noisy such that it woke one of us up pretty much every time it started. It vibrated really hard when it switched on and it was louder than any A/C units I've ever heard, and I've been to cheap hotels/motels. Fan speed was not adjustable. It wasn't just me complaining, but also my wife and 2 kids. We also had a couple issues with our room such as the safe wasn't working so they had to send the maintenance guy to fix it, there was a leak from a nearby attached room that caused a puddle in our room, and housekeeping did not make up our room and refresh our towels even a few hours after we requested them to. After complaining, they moved us one floor up and said the A/C is better in that room. It was as loud but maybe did not vibrate as much as the one in the other room.
The hotel is "historic" so it's old but you can clearly tell they're not keeping up with the needed maintenance, which is sad because it has great potential. Perhaps someone will acquire it and improve upon the rooms and overall property
