The room is quite minimal and furniture and mirrors are damaged. While the bathroom looks re-done, the faucet in the bathroom is faulty and felt like it would fall off in my hand during a shower. The walls are paper-thin and about ten people decided to chat and talk right outside our door at 2am - even with earplugs I could understand what they were saying. we had to ask them to leave. While adequate, this is so far less than I would expect for the price we paid that I am very disappointed and disappointed that hotels.com rated it 3.7. It's around a 2 in my wide travel experience.

I was attending an event in Oakland, but I wasn't happy with the reviews of Oakland hotels, and so I decided to find a motel in Berkeley. I felt that other reviews were too generous in their rating of this motel. It smelled bad as soon as we entered our room. It was dated and I refused to sit on the TV chair. The microwave was dirty, so I didn't want to heat anything up in it. The shower pressure was too low. Initially, our request for a late checkout was declined until the next day about 15 mins before the standard checkout time. In addition, housekeeping knocked on our door at the standard checkout time, and we had to tell them that we had until noon to check out. The desk clerk was very polite. The continental breakfast was basic, but at least it was free. I liked the free parking. The motel was cute from the outside. The area was safe and quiet. I liked that free WiFi and HBO channels were included. I also liked that shops and restaurants were nearby. I don't think that it was worth $100 per night, but it served its purpose for a one-night stay.

Somewhat secluded from the busy streets, located near restaurants, liquor stores and other stores and they are one level above maybe 3-4 feet off the ground which means no elevators. I am sure there is also a wheel chair entry and pass..breakfast? They have it.

Not clean and stains everywhere

In this case you get what you pay for. I won’t make that mistake again
