Nuovo Hotel del Porto

Het hotel is basic, maar kamer en netheid prima in orde. Heel vriendelijke service en ontbijt dik in orde. Ligt perfect in centrum, waardoor alles te voet te bereiken is. Volop prima restaurants in de buurt. Helaas bleek de airco tijdens ons verblijf op een aantal verdiepingen in reparatie, waardoor deze niet werkte en het 's-nachts erg warm was. Was een kwestie van pech, maar zou t hotel zeker opnieuw bezoeken.

De receptionisten waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Geen lawaai op straat en rustige buurt. 15 minuten wandelen van station. Kamer was vrij klein en aan een kant van het bed,bijna geen beenruimte tussen bed en kleerkast. De lift was vrij klein. Badkamer was schoon en bed ook. Kamer had een minibar. De volgende dag mochten we 30 min voor de oficiele ontbijttijd ons ontbijt toch nuttigen, prima service! Dankzij het vroege ontbijt, konden wij onze trein op tijd halen!

Very small room, safe and overhead light didn't work. It was pretty quiet. Breakfast room gets quite crowded at times. Lift is very small. On par with many other Italian hotels. Location is good for train & main piazza.

good location for exploring Bologna, stayed in an apartment round the side of the hotel. Clean and spacious, staff were polite but not over friendly.

Memorable city......lots to visit.....good restaurants....not enough time to do more exploring of this wonderful city

We stayed 4 nights in Sep 2019. The entire stay, the air conditioning did not work, was under maintenance. The first 2 nights we couldn't sleep in the 80+ degree stuffy room. The 2nd major downside was there are absolutely no free electrical outlet in the room. One has to UNPLUG the TV or lamp, which made it dark. These days it is a must to provide suitable outlets in room to charge camera batteries, laptop etc. The included breakfast from 7-10 was hard to get a table after 8am. The 1 lady cleaning the tables did a good job but was stressed out and overburden with duties. This is the fault of hotel management for that. The staff seems short handed with all the work. Otherwise the location was 15-20 minute walk to town center. Hotel has 1 elevator, that maintenance uses also, so prepare to account for that.

Overall it’s good.

We spent 10 nights in this hotel. It has perfect location, very close to Central Train station and Piazza Maggiore, all walking distance. Safe neighborhood. It is clean. Has free wifi which worked in the room all the time. The staff is very friendly and helpful: They even upgraded us since we stayed long. Good breakfast. Overall we were very happy to stay there and would definitely stay there again. My only suggestion is they should install hangers for towels in the bathrooms.

You should reserve parking in advance because local garages are very expensive and street parking can be hard to find. The hotel was not able to make parking arrangements for us upon arrival. Our room was worn and the shower had an unpleasant odor. Hotel has it's plus and minuses, overall though, not a bad place for a 2-night stay.
