Hotel Kreuz & Post

It's a fairly standard hotel without any special features or wow factors. Albeit it's positioned as a 4-stars accommodation, in my view, it's rather basic and certainly overpriced. Breakfast was good, but not rich in terms of varieties. Towels were not changed for some reason. Welness area is small and again there's nothing particularly good of expected 4-stars level.

Stayed here for two nights during summer. Very impressed by the service in the hotel and the restaurant. Great location, will definitely be back in Winter for ski season

The first thing to comment on is location. The hotel is literally a stone's throw away from Grindelwald station. This is incredibly convenient for a variety of reasons. The next thing to comment on is the view. The view from my balcony was something that can be best described as majestic. It's difficult to find fault with much when you can wake to a view like that every morning. Excluding the view and in the interests of balance I am going to try and be as harsh as possible. Though these are very minor issues. It's arguable that the room safe could have been a bigger one. To allow safe storage of my laptop for example. Though I felt very secure in the hotel and I was able to put everything else I needed to in the safe provided. Other than that (and I've been trying really hard to come up with criticism), maybe there could have been more toiletries in the room. In the sense that for shampoo and soap there was one brand of green tea body wash available. This is probably being very harsh though. The dry sauna, though small was one of the best suana's I've been in. Assuming you want a really strong sauna. The steam room was good. The low infrared chamber that's available was a revelation and the jacuzzi was well maintained. If I at any point had any questions, over transport or travel or anything in general, the staff were warm welcoming and approachable. In conclusion, I would definitely stay here again. It was (and would be) a pleasure.

Hotel is a bit dated, but kept in good shape. Staff are great and rates are fair and represent good value. The one thing below standard is the breakfast buffet. I don’t have a problem with limited selections, but when those are presented without care or sophistication it doesn’t represent a 4-star rating.

Relly near the train station, excellent facility, Accessible, really great hotel.

Perfect location cozy hotel however more comfort could be provided.A renovation is needed and they need to upgrade to individual heating rather than central air conditioning. Also upon check in for thw two rooms we booked we were not informed we had dinner included which we figured out on our second day so unfortunaltely we and our friends missed out on our first nights 5 course meal which was a shame . The hotel service and food was less than we expected for over $750 aud per night however for a short stay and a great location in a beautiful town it was good enough.

Outstanding hotel. Very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The view is something we will never forget. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Grindelwald was a lifetime experience.

The location was amazing . It was a few steps away from the train station making it very easy to travel in the Jungfrau area. The Spa was a blessing after a long day out.Breakfast was normal, not fantastic. There is no electric kettle with tea/coffee provision although i was provided with a kettle when i asked for it.Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Hotel is located just opposite the train station and it’s easy to get to Jungfrau and other scenic locations from here. Grindelwald First cable car station is just a 10 min walk and the Coop supermarket is just across the road. Many good restaurants (including the one at the hotel) can be found in the vicinity. Good value for money and the breakfast is good too!
