Terrible food/friendly staff
The food is not good. They have the buffet set up in a way that it seems a lot of items are not kept at the proper food safe temperature. The night we arrived they had sushi and mussels just sitting out not on ice or on a cold plate. Just sitting on a platter. In a hot room. The cheese had developed that greasy cheese sweat from sitting out in a non-air conditioned giant dining hall. They will fry fresh eggs on a flat top in the morning and fresh meat in the evenings. Sadly, my chicken was not cooked long enough and I couldn’t eat it. We ate at most of the specialty restaurants. The Mediterranean was the worst and the Brazilian steak house was the best but still just barely average. You will not have to worry about gaining any weight on this vacation.
The hard alcohol is bottom of the barrel well type. Maybe we just didn’t ask the right bar tender but when I asked for Tito’s vodka they laughed.
The pools had visible algae growing on the tiles up the sides. The shower tile in our room was disgusting and the bathtub had visible dirt and some orange colored liquid dripping out of the jets. The shower did not drain well and you end up standing in a puddle by the end of the shower.
The evening entertainment was nice some shows better than others. The waitstaff were all very pleasant.
We don’t mind walking so that worked out fine for us. But if you have a difficult time getting around you may consider a different resort as shuttles were impossible to come by.
