Hotel lobby was very pretty and the owner, Paula was helpful in advising us about the local attractions and restaurants.
However, I only gave the hotel a rating of two due to several disappointments we faced while there. Firstly, we arrived with several perishable items, and Paula advised that there was no way to have them refrigerated. She wanted to charge us for a small bag of ice. The items were vital for us, and luckily her kitchen staff had no problem refrigerating them. Additionally, while the room was comfortable and well furnished, albeit slightly run down, we did notice a dead roach on the floor. Upon departure, we wanted to pay our balance using a credit card, but Paula informed us that she only accepts cash and incidentally her credit card machine just broke. We didn't have cash on us, and being that we booked via Expedia we were never informed of the no cash rule. After twenty minutes of telling her that we had no access to such a large amount of cash, she tried her credit card machine again and it worked.
