Leuk hotel op loopafstand van hartje Aachen. Erg ruime kamer, die nog iets schoner had gemogen (maar was ok).

The room was huge with a lovely balcony and bathroom. But the fridge in the kitchen smelt and they charged for using the kettle.

I stayed in the penthouse suite, which was spectacularly spacious, with huge windows overlooking the city on either end of the space. The whirlpool tub worked, and the wintergarten area of the room was very nice, but the furnishings were just a little bit too flimsy. The location was great at about a 10 minute walk from city center and main train station. Lack of an elevator made the 6-story climb to the room a little too laborious. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. The nearby local bar, Cocon, offered a much better experience than any of the touristy locations in the center.

Rezeption nicht besetzt. Man bekommt eine SMS mit einem Zugangscode um an den Schlüssel zu kommen. Das Penthouse-Zimmer ist sehr groß, nur leider überhaupt nicht ansprechend. Vieles wurde sehr rudimentär zusammengebastelt: siehe Bilder. Sauber war der Boden auch nicht. Sollte mal wieder nass gewischt werden. Ruhige Lage. Das ist aber auch das einzig Positive an diesem Hotel. Nein, da würde ich nicht mehr übernachten.

I love the fact that I was able to check in early at 9:30 AM when I arrived, as opposed to waiting until 2:00 PM.

Wifi was intermittent. Staff friendly. No sheets on bed. Just a comforter and pillow with comforter. Clean and very quiet. Nice breakfast.

This was fine for our needs, but it's nothing fancy. There is no elevator. The 2 extra twin beds in the room were just mattresses on the floor. The shower could not keep a consistent temperature, which was very annoying. The location is pretty good, though there's only street parking. There are no signs on the street that say permit parking only or anything like that, and yet we got a warning ticket that we weren't allowed to park there. It is quiet; we had no problems with noise, though we were only there through the weekend. It looks like there's some sort of school or day care next door/in the back yard area, so this could be a potential for noise during the week. They forgot to put enough towels in our room for 4 people, and when we asked for 2 more towels, they initially said there was a charge for extra towels, until they realized that we only had 2, then they did not charge us. I've never had a hotel charge for extra towels. There is no top sheet on the beds, but this is typical in Europe. There is a small fridge in the room, no microwave. We appreciated having real wine glasses in the room, as most hotels don't and we end up drinking wine from plastic cups. :) Breakfast is available for a charge, but we did not partake. There are many bakeries nearby. We would stay here again if we had to, but I would look for somewhere else. The staff was friendly.

Nice hotel in quiet setting in city center of Aachen. Spacious rooms, floor could be bit cleaner. Friendly staff. We will certainly go back there
