Asian Ruby Select Hotel

The male manager was inflexible and dismissive.He squeezed every amount of money out of us at every opportunity.I have stay at Ruby Asia Hotels in the past and spent nearly 2 weeks at the Ruby Asia Select Hotel this trip.This manager had made sure I will never stay at the chain again.In the past thry have always been flexible and reasonable in their dealings with guests.All other staff showed usual high standard of hospitality.Maybe the present manager is just plain greedy....he certainly has no ability to accommodate the needs of guests or impart a semblance hospitality.I should have movedbut was medically compromised and moving was difficult.A total turn off.I feel sorry for the efficient and hard working floor level staff....and female desk staff.Very disappointed with the male manager....absolutely no rapport with his guests....personality akin to a fence post.

Reasonable hotel with easy access to all areas of interest. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Hotel is located in the center of city and amidst an area with lots of hotels along the main street. Took a walk around the neighborhood but not much to see. Facilities is not big but nicely decorated, no big fancy lobby or anything. Room is cute and clean. The bath tub is a bit small but still like it. Staff is friendly, but the English skills for restaurant staffs is really poor and she doesn’t understand basic words. Roof top restaurant has a good view of the city. Menu isn’t too lavish, but good choices and the food portions are Huge! Breakfast buffet is at the rooftop restaurant as well, good with lots of food choices.
