DeSoto Beach Gardens

Our first unit smelled very musty/moldy when we entered. Thinking perhaps it just needed the fans on, etc. We gave it some time. Not good...however, we went to the front desk and they quickly accommodated us with a new unit that was next door making our move quick and easy. This unit was odor free and quite comfortable. The overall condition of the facility was a little tired, but comfortable.

We had request beach front, which we didn't get. The place was very dusty, kitchen not wiped down, coffee pot was filthy, there was coffee grinds that was molding in the coffee pot. Disgusting. I sprayed the place with Lysol, because I'm pretty sure there was no sanitizing under the new guidelines due to Covid19.

Older but pretty well maintained, room was clean, nice bed, very spacious. Check in was tedious, 1 clerk working alone on a weekend with 6 people waiting and the phone ringing off the hook. She did the best she could but they needed another clerk, at least during peak hours. Location was handy to everything.

Overall nice property excellent location walking distance to the beach! However the rooms/property definitely needs some TLC modern upgrades ,dusting , and just a good thorough deep clean! Upon arrival the cable box from the tv was hanging out of the wall with all cords exposed not something guest should have to see as soon as you walk in your room. that’s something that housekeeping should have definitely seen and fixed. Presentation is Key please inform housekeeping to pay attention to detail when cleaning

Quick family trip before school started. I really like the room . Location to the beach was great. Great location overall. Close to everything. The staff was friendly and attentive. They could improve the breakfast They could have been cleaned the room better. Overall I could come back.

We had a short weekend stay during Covid. Good location by the beach. Spacious room/efficiency suite. Pool was clean but very small. Downsides were-Felt uncomfortable that staff were not wearing masks, especially those serving the continental breakfast. Our designated parking spot for the unit was across a busy street, which was pretty inconvenient considering the hotel has a full parking lot adjacent to the unit. Housekeeping was minimal and did not come until late afternoon. Probably would not stay here again.

Loved our stay in The Gardens . The unit was perfect; can’t wait to go back .

Very dirty parking was horrible they had to come in after we checked in to clean the room bc it wasn’t done the first time

The staff was super friendly! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.

Great location. Nice features in the rooms. Unfortunately, we experienced crazy loudness above us and management couldn’t be reached (they are only there from 9 to 5). Their response when contacted? You should have called the police. Nice place, terrible management.
