Cho Hotel

It would have been perfect if there were amazing views outside the window and a softer bed. Aside from that, everything was great - hotel design, friendly and accommodating staff, good location with easy access to public transport

From the facade to its interior design and decorative accents, Cho Hotel has a lot of character and really exudes this welcoming atmosphere and hip vibe. Makes it a really Instagram-worthy place. The staff who checked us in spoke fluent English and would always greet us with a smile whenever we passed by the front desk to get in/out of the elevator. Very warm and friendly service. What we liked best about Cho Hotel was the lounge area at Level 2 where we spent a lot of time either catching a movie on the big-screen TV, working on our laptops or playing with the in-house furballs (two friendly & adorable doggies). On the other side of it was a well-stocked pantry with a variety of tidbits (biscuits, crackers, sweets etc), beverages (coffee/tea/soft drinks/water), microwavable popcorn and instant bowl noodles of assorted Taiwan-exclusive flavours. We could help ourselves to everything there on a complimentary basis. We booked a standard double room with no windows. Was really small and there was hardly any space for us to put out our luggage. But overall, the room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. Good enough for the price we paid. Location was excellent. Plenty of eateries, convenience stores around. Wellcome supermarket (open 24 hours) is just a stone's throw away. Short walking distance to the bustling prime shopping area of Ximending where you can find street food, skincare/beauty shops, souvenirs, bubble tea and more. Would definitely stay here again :)

We were pleasantly surprised with the range of free snacks (including different types of instant noodles), soft drinks & juice, coffee & tea offered for hotel guests. And the so-called leisure corner on L2 of the hotel was tastefully decorated. The only setback for our stay was that the bath area didn't have a door or shower-screen, so water flower out quite a bit towards the toilet bowl. Gotta be careful when walking out of shower.

A really amazing place to stay in! Top notch facilities and service is great. Love the rest area on level 2 with free flow snacks as well <3 Will definitely be back to this hotel again!

My stay was pretty good overall, the staff was very friendly and helpful (especially the two dogs!). The common area was an added bonus. However, before I booked the hotel I was not told that my room would not be in the main building and I would have to walk outside the hotel to get into the next building. Even though it was a very short walk, it was very inconvenient. Especially because I had friends staying in the main building, this separation made it quite difficult for us to be together. If I had been told that my room type was in a separate building I would have chosen another type.
