Casa Kootenay Waterfront BnB

Great location close to town but quiet end. Lovely breakfasts and on the water. Leanne is welcoming. Like staying at a friend’s house. Hot tub and pool. Fantastic top deck for relaxing and sunrise, sunset views.

I had a good week in La Paz! Leeanne provided great information about where stores were, things to see & do, where to walk and help in getting transportation. She facilitated a date change in a Viator day trip that was cancelled the day I had booked it speaking by Spanish with the local provider. I particularly enjoyed kayaking from the B & B two mornings- one morning kayaking through the mangroves and taking photos of birds. The beach in front is good for walking and the dinner menu at the nearby la Posada hotel is very good. I took the beach bus from the terminal at the Malecon to beautiful Balandra Beach which was another highlight. Breakfast was at 8:30 each day in a friendly family setting providing an opportunity to socialize with other guests and to enjoy a delicious Mexican entree made by the cook.

We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. The property is beautiful and the rooftop deck was a great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch sunset. We had wonderful Mexican breakfasts prepared by Alma. An added benefit are the bikes available for use and the close proximity to the bike path which takes you down to the Malecon. Overall it was a great stay!

We loved everything about Casa Kootenay. Location was right on the beach but also in a quiet area of the city. The facility was private, welcoming, incredibly well taken care of and we felt welcome and at home. The family style breakfasts with the hosts LeeAnne and Herman were something to look forward to each day, and it was a great opportunity to meet the other guests, talk about the area and plans for the day. LeeAnne was so helpful in recommending places to eat, setting up excursions, etc. The rooms where huge with all the amentites you need, small fridge, coffee maker, beach towels, etc.

We stayed for a week at Casa Kootenay in November, was an excellent experience! Leeanne, Herman, and their dog Ayla were fantastic hosts. Leanne is very knowledgeable of the area, helped us setup our transportation, diving, a massage, and gave some good recommendations on where to eat. Rooms are very nice and clean, beds were comfortable, nice pool and hot tub. They also have a great rooftop setup with a great view of the bay, nice for having a drink and enjoying the sunset. The breakfasts were great and they accommodate our early diving schedule. Also being dog people it was great having a big dog (Ayla) there to love on get our dog fix missing our pups at home. We will definitely be back!

What a great place, everything was just perfect. Great location and Leeanne is such a great host! Water just in front to envoy paddle boards and wonderful refreshing swimming pool for warm and sticky days! Breakfasts were soooo good :)

We only stayed one night but loved our time there. The rooftop patio overlooking the ocean was terrific. It was so relaxing to stay right on the beach and have the quiet of a small B&B too.

Owner operated. Knowledgeable about area and what to do. Best breakfasts in Baja California Sur. Will come back

We had a wonderful time at Casa Kootenay. The setting is gorgeous and Leigh Ann has done wonderful things with the property, multiple seating areas, a second floor balcony with incredible views of the Sea of Cortez, amazing breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. She had many recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We ended our stay with wine and cheese on the balcony with the other guests.
