Great hotel - very clean and service was great - check in delayed due to slow housekeeping but room was perfect. Breakfast is excellent!

I thought this hotel was great. Check in was easy with attentive staff. Lobby was nice and large with plenty of seating and a small bar (which had limited hours). My room was large and clean. There was a sitting area on one end of the room, a partial divider, and beds on the other end. The tv can swing either way to be viewed from the bed or sitting area. The bathroom had a shower and toilet in one room, with a door that could be closed. The sink and mirror was next to the toilet room, but did not have its own door for privacy. A large window allowed plenty of natural light. The bed was really comfortable. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of cleaning and keeping up with my use of towels. The hotel is on the far east end of Pearl Street; walkable to bars and restaurants, if you have the time (30 minutes or so) and the inclination. Parking was reasonably priced, however the parking ramp is not right next to the hotel. It was a little confusing finding the entry at first, but it was fine and only took 5 minutes to walk to and from the hotel. The pool was very nice and well-maintained. I do have to mention only two negatives... there was a sewage-type of odor in the lobby. Also, the shower head in my room, while removable, would not stay on the wall. It kept falling down and the rod it was attached to was coming out of the wall. I never reported either issue. Two positives: Sanitas Brewing is a walkable 2 blocks away and the pizza place across the street was very good.

There was some sort of construction going on that we were not told about. Didn’t find out until way early in the morning while the walls were being pounded on while we were trying to sleep..
