We had just one night here over the Coronation bank holiday weekend. Pretty location, with a church next door and lovely surrounding countryside.
The room was very small but that wasn't the issue - it was more about the cleanliness or rather lack of it. Scuff marks on the walls, cobwebs around the room. Even the drawers and bottom of the wardrobe were not clean so we chose not to use these. The floor in the room was particularly dirty, as was the entrance hall. There were complimentary toiletries and small bottles of water, plus a hairdryer and iron/ironing board provided. Staff were courteous and gave us top-ups for the tea/coffee making tray, plus fresh milk. The bedding was clean and the bathroom towels were thick and fluffy. However, the towels had a greasy (pub kitchen) smell to them. Our evening meal in the pub was good. Breakfast wasn't as enjoyable. We didn't raise any concerns during our stay as we knew it was a flying visit. But we certainly wouldn't stay here again.
