Ximen Hotel B

Overall a good stay. Not too far to Taipei Main Station and there are plenty of buses. I was given a room right next to the reception so it was a bit awkward and rather noisy as there is the hotel bathroom next to it. It would have been better if the room was away from the reception and bathroom.

First room was not really ideal was quite rundown and requested for a change to another room which I believe is newly furnished. Stay was overall good and the location is very near to MRT station around 5-10 minutes walk.

Clean, recently renovated room is smallish but decent value. Bathroom is a good size. All quite functional. Window away from street so no noise — no view but a bit of light. Some noise from guests in hall, but minimal. English news channels. No sign with hotel name in English at entry, but does say ‘Hotel’ on large, lit yellow-orange sign.

The exterior of the hotel doesn’t look that good at all, but the location is great! Very near the shopping and night market of Ximending, and yet not noisy. Breakfast is just Mos Burger Voucher to be redeemed downstairs, so don’t bother topping up for the breakfast. Nicer local food just around the corner. Totally hooked on the delicious 阿宗面线 5-10min walk down the road.

Overall was good. The room wasn’t what the pic was but was still ok despite needing some updating. The location is great and so close to the Ximen area.
