El Nido Mahogany Beach

Excellent place to stay while in El Nido, nestled in the trees and steps from the active beach where many tours depart from, and the best views of the sunset, with scenic boats and mountains framing the scene. The hotel bar/restaurant was excellent and the staff super friendly. We only stayed one night, and wanted to extend our trip so badly just to spend one more day here. Our only criticism is that our room A/C was a little noisy, so we used the ceiling fan instead, which didn't keep us as cool while we slept. Otherwise, we actually loved our room and the layout, and especially the amazing covered deck where breakfast was brought to us. We really loved this place and it will be one of the first places we come back to.

Overall this place was great! The beds were slightly hard and firm. I stayed in cabin 3 that had a bat that lived on the ceiling and every morning I would have bat droppings outside the entryway. The staff was great! The owner was really nice. The food in the morning wasn’t cooked all the way. For example the cranes and pancakes were very doughy. Those were my only takeaways from this place.

Staff was warm and welcoming from the very beginning and throughout our entire stay. Beautiful surroundings. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent chef and kitchen team

The staff were very professional & helpful. They know how to make adjustments of when to serve our meal based on our schedule. They served our breakfast earlier than their regular schedule & we appreciated that.

The facility and amenities are fine. There was a miscommunication in checking out—- no one came to pick us up to the airport even though we paid the fee the day before.

A unique and quiet place to stay when you are in El Nido. The resort itself is near the town yet you can feel you are in a different place when you arrive at the hotel itself. You can easily get to town either by tricycle or renting a motorcycle next to the hotel. I like that they have separate units for each guests and that there's a beach in front with a beautiful sunset view, though i don't recommend swimming. We stayed here for 5 days and 5 nights in a villa unit and i have no major complains just minor bumps, rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful, the staff were awesome and friendly, although we were not given our welcome drinks upon arrival (I did ask about it, but i forgot to follow up, that's why we never got it), food was also good but they offer limited choices during breakfast, for me i was stuck eating either tocino or longanisa for 5 breakfast. the swimming pool was ok, just the right size and it doesn't get crowded. The minor bump i would like to point out was the main door in our unit it was heavy and so difficult to operate(especially locking the door), at one point while we were eating our breakfast one of the staff told us we left our room open when we did a tour the other day and they were curious why we didn't lock the door, we then ask the staff to show us how to lock the door and to our surprise the lock itself was broken and they have send someone to fix the door. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this resort and we would love to stay here again.
