O Tulum - Adults Only

The rooms in the front were amazing. You can’t beat that view. A few cons, sliding glass door didn’t work and the safe didn’t work. Food was great, service (for the most part) was wonderful and the location was isolated but perfect for us. I recommend if you stay here to rent an SUV. The beach was rocky but it didn’t bother us. It was a fun area to explore tide pools and we even got to see baby sea turtles making their way out to sea. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you O’Tulum!

We arrived at the O'Tulum on a Friday afternoon after leaving our previous hotel that morning. Check-in wasn't until 3 so we laid in one of the cabanas on the beach until our room was ready. The restaurant/bar is small but all you need. Staff is helpful and made sure we were taken care of. Rooms had mini fridges and tvs, which were nice considering you are out there away from town or any nightlife. Felt good to totally relax for 2 nights without feeling the need to go anywhere. The property was very quiet both nights of our stay, which we really enjoyed. We met a lovely couple who we shared our swim-out pool with during the day. They were knowledgeable of the area and kind enough to show us some of their favorite cenotés nearby. Spend the extra money and get an oceanfront room with the balcony/plunge pool. The ocean was so warm and we also had 3 pools to choose from! Note: bring your own floaties if you plan to lay poolside all day like we did. Probably the best sleep I've had in some time-- loved how comfortable the beds were. Near-exclusive coral-scattered sand beaches made for a beautiful and romantic sunset stroll. We were told to go to Chamicos during the day, but they were closed due to the recent passing weather. All in all, a lovely experience-- we will be back!

Everything there was great! Enthusiastic staff, beautiful beach and viariety of breakfast. It's better if they can serve the breakfast ealier.

The staff were amazing. Friendly and always willing to serve. 🤗 The bathrooms need to be redone. Not clean. 😫 The grounds were nice. We got to see turtles hatch. Had a romantic Candelite dinner on the sand by the ocean. ❤️ The bathrooms and decks need some TLC. Be prepared to go down dirt roads to get there. Once you do it and know your location it’s not bad.

Looked great, beach has too much rock and coral to swim, bed was comfy, don’t drink the water (only bottled water), you can’t have guests in your bedroom (which I thought was weird), great service and will cook fish you catch in their kitchen.

This hotel is amazing. Perfect level of seclusion with beautiful views and great vibes. Room was clean and the staff is very nice. Our initial concern was safety because the hotel is down a long dirt road and we were a little weary. However, there is a guard post that lets you go back into the neighborhood, which is full of beautiful houses. Surprisingly, the food menu was pretty big and good quality (try the black ceviche). We watched a beautiful sunrise then had breakfast at a table right on the sand. And as for the beach, this isn’t the place to go swimming in the ocean. Lots of waves and rocks, but that is what the character of this hotel is about; natural beauty. You can walk down the strip of beach freely, and we happened to find sea turtles and iguanas. Last but not least, we loved the vibes in Tulum. Visit a place called Taboo beach club for an amazing restaurant and day party experience.

I like how Leon gave us a tour of the hotel and how attentive he was. The place and location is beautiful. Bartenders nino and marcial are awesome. The hotel is a great place to relax.

Best hotel we have been to! This is a boutique hotel, nothing like we have been before. Is a bit further than where all the tourist are at in Tulum, but it’s PERFECT for a getaway, either to relax alone, or reconnect with yourself or your partner. Workers are so nice and attentive, rooms are clean and gorgeous. The views are exceptional. Will definitely stay here again. Me and my husband had an amazing time!

We visited Tulum and stayed here in an ocean front room. In my opinion the only rooms worth getting were the ocean front ones. The pool view rooms face a fence. The staff was amazing, everyone from the front desk to the maids and especially the bartenders were very accommodating. Some things to be aware of: the water pressure in the shower and bath tub are nearly non existent, and hot water is often in short supply. I talked to the front desk and they were able to make slight improvements for our room but it still took nearly 40 minutes to fill the tub. I didn’t mind too too much because it was so hot out, but when you pay for a room with a tub it’s because you want the option of taking a bath. The plunge pools are not hot tubs, which again was fine with me. But the circuit gets tripped often and you have to ask the front desk to reset it so you can use the jets. Overall the hotel was clean but definitely could’ve been a bit better maintained. There’s a nespresso machine in the room which I appreciated, the bar/restaurant doesn’t have espresso. But on several occasions I wanted an espresso martini and brought down the shots I made in my room and the bartenders Maricel and Nino each were able to make me one. I just don’t understand why there would be machines in the room and not one at the restaurant. The breakfast that’s included was delicious, the avocado toast being my favorite. But everything was made fresh to order and tasted great. The açaí bowls were an extra cost.
