The Ostrich Inn

Lovely old English hotel, staff were a pleasure to deal with on check in and again in the morning at breakfast and checkout. The room was comfy and warm. The only slight improvement could be in having breakfast prepared a little quicker (or giving myself more time). All in all would recommend this hotel.

3rd time I have stayed here probably says it all and would have stayed here more often in the past when down on business but they have been fully booked. Great old place, comfortable modern rooms and food is excellent.

Really lovely and welcoming staff. Homely bedroom and modern bathroom. The food was great too!

A lovely old pub with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Our room was a lovely warm temperature that is important in January. A large en-suite with quality linens. Check in was easy in the bar. Our main problem was the very slow service for both dinner and breakfast though the food for both was very good and well presented. We were not in a hurry and would be pleased to stay again.

We regularly have work colleagues from across the globe arriving through Heathrow...having real history, good beer and friendly service available so close is a real win. The only downsides I am aware of is that the village itself is not 'chocolate box pretty' and light sleepers will be aware how close Heathrow is!
