This camp is in a gorgeous location. The tents themselves are very well appointed and surprisingly luxurious. The food was delicious and the service was great (our thanks to Hamid). Unfortunately, the management could use some drastic improvement. The camp is near impossible to find, as it does not have a sign on the road (this would be a very easy, cheap, and necessary improvement). The phone number provided by Expedia does not work. When we finally found the location after asking many people and other camps, the owner Vincent stated he did not have our reservation. The explanation he provided was convoluted but seemed to be that someone else had taken his camp's name (his camp is Agafay Camp rather than Agafay Desert Camp) and that a former employee had set up his profile on Expedia which is why the phone number is out of service. In any case, he was able to accommodate us for the night. However, it would make more sense for the camp to temporarily remove its profile from Expedia and other booking sites until it can guarantee some basic necessities, such as a working phone number and email address, and accurate directions.
