Marea Beachfront Villas

Just perfect! Accommodations very clean and spacious with beautiful view of the beach! Service is spectacular! The beach is beautiful, clean and almost empty for us. We went to the supermarket to get food but ended having brunch at the villa and dinner at their restaurant as the food was very good. Next time I need to get away from my busy life Marea is the place to come

It was pristine and beautiful. You could walk for miles on the beach and not see one person. The staff were incredible!!

The property, villas, pools, and grounds were beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Personally, we did not like how secluded it was, as it really does limit your overall experience. And although the hotel restaurant is a novel concept, it does unfortunately has a very limited menu, and it is a bit pricey, so if you are a picky eater or have kids under the age of 15, then you will definitely have some difficulties with food choices. As stated, the area is very secluded, so if you want to go anywhere to shop, buy groceries, go to a swimmable beach, or do any sort of immersive tourist things in a foreign country, then I probably would not recommend this establishment. We used a trusted taxi driver, contacted through the hotel, who charged us $700 pesos daily (roughly $35USD) for round-trip to Zihuatanejo (about 20 minutes away) as well as to run errands like grocery shopping and 1-2 other stops in town). Although it is quite beautiful, it is more for people who want a secluded vacation in a tropical place, without any real exposure to the local culture or cuisine. Mexico is a beautiful county, rich in culture, but it is very sad to see how hard it is for the people there to get by - especially with the need for fully outfitted Mexican Marines patrolling the streets in order to deter all of the crime there, especially against foreign tourists. It was jarring at times, even for us, and we are from a rougher part of SoCal.

The Propery was beautiful as well as the villa. However, the bedroom facing the beach had openings on door which allowed mosquitoes, lizards and moths to enter bedroom. We couldn’t use that bedroom. Door need to be sealed!!

This place is great! The villa was beautiful and clean.. right on the sand.. the staff was super nice and helpful when needed... the ocean was to crazy to get in the water but the pool was right there... the restaurant was great... we just wanted to relax for a few days and we got just that... total relaxation

We absolutely loved the Marea Beachfront Villas, the staff are so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. We rented two villas side by side for a family week together and both were beautiful, well stocked and very comfortable for our family. The Restaurant was DELICIOUS, and very reasonably priced! The entire experience was a slice of paradise... we will be back!

The pictures are no lie. This property is exactly as advertised. 10 mile beach with only 4 or 5 people ever on it. Accommodations beautiful. Ola Restaurant had really good food and the service was excellent. Yes, it is more expensive, but the ingredients and selection are very good and look where you are!! 3 or 4 day decompression after an all-inclusive in Ixtapa - this was perfect. Not a swimming beach. Big waves all day and no get. Boogie boards are a must.

Long beautiful beach without people, surfers, boats, or parasailors.

The property was amazing! We had a ground floor, two bedroom villa that opened to an amazing view of the beach. The splash pool was a lifesaver on warm afternoons. The entire staff was always kind and accommodating. It's about a 10 minute taxi ride from Jihua/Ixtapa but the perfect place to get away and relax. We ate at the restaurant a few times during our stay, mostly for lunch or dinner, and the food was amazing each time. The Mexican fiesta on Thursday night was great as well.
