Selina Playa del Carmen

This is the second Selina I have stayed in and both were great. Especially for the attached co-working, they have a good concept.

The cafe bar was nice. What I did not like was the loud music playing all day and night, right below our room around their swimming pool area.

Great location close to ferry & “downtown”. Typical set of wandering millennials, loud music by pool late into night, but bring ear plugs & you’re night. Daytime staff was much friendlier & accommodating than night staff. Pretty much a true hostel - you get a bedsheet, but no towels & no breakfast (despite front desk arguments from another hosteler who was convinced it was advertised). Nice pool, dining area, & bar.

Great atmosphere and the pool was really great! Rooms were always clean and it was quiet at night.

My boyfriend and I thought it would be fun to do one night at a hostel for the party and shenanigans. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into. We got a single room with shared bathroom and the bed was ungodly uncomfortable. Like you better get wasted because you will not sleep otherwise. The bed sheets feel like a mix of plastic wrap and wax. I love Selina for the facilities, so I was surprised at just got horrible the bed and room was. There was a bright light directly on our window that shined the entire night. The hostel itself is cute and centrally located. If you want to party all night and don’t want to sleep. Like at all. This is your place.

Perfect area to stay at playa, at the middle of everything, the pool is amazing and also the beaches area is one minute walk. The negative things is the loud that came from the hostel bar/lobby and the restaurants around, and also the shared bathroom should be cleaned more often, and it’s better to separate the women and men bathrooms to be more comfortable for both

Staff was nice, the guy that checked me inn was really nice, the room wasnt really what i was expecting and the bed sheets smelled terrible.. convinient location, verry close to ado!

I always like to come back here.great location . If you want to social and and pool. Always events happening here. Worth the money.

Nice reception. Decent rooms. Locker just barely fit my 40l bag. Tin sheets, so if the AC is set too cold you might actually be cold during the night.
