The Fred (Adults Only)

Truly a tragic state of affairs at The Fred. We thought there were amenities, including a spa and restaurant. My wife tried to book a pedicure — a $55 one — and the pedicurist complained about having to come into work, which made the whole thing uncomfortable — we ended up cancelling the service. The restaurant was closed so read the fine print, because you can't "dine with Fred" as stated in the description. When we asked the front desk about dining options, they recommended one which ended up being fully booked for the night. It felt like we made an unreasonable request to ask for food options in the evening. We felt stranded. The cherry on top was that the bar was closed on our last day, and there was full-blown construction next to the pool with a ton of noise (i.e. circular saw going full blast). In short, do not sleep with Fred. The staff made us feel awkward. Tip to management: get a handle on the hospitality basics (towel replenishment, courteous staff, operational bar, etc.) before focusing on the trendy stuff. Really surprised this was at the start of peak season.

I did not like how we were treated at this hotel because the room was flooded with water, the sink was flooded as well, told them the first day about it and nothing was done. They offered on our last day to move us to a new room and we declined because we were leaving the next morning. The fred is dead and wack do not stay at this hotel.

Our stay was excellent. Once the restaurant is up and running, The Fred would be absolutely perfect overall!

Great pool and close to food options. A great boutique hotel. Loved the welcome glass of wine and two free drinks at the bar.

Loved staying at The Fred. Everything from check-in to check-out was amazing. We will stay there again. The view was awesome, staff friendly, and very clean.

We were very happy with the location and the property itself. Our room had views of both the pool and the ocean and both were literally steps away. The staff was super friendly- especially Laira and Tim and helpful with recommendations of places to see and eat as well as arranging transportation to and from the airport and other activities. The pool was also a bonus. Would highly recommend the Fred for a fabulous experience in St. Croix!

The property is really nice however the city that it’s located in has heavy crime, drug dealers on the street and the city is very run down. This is definitely not a family environment.

Id like to leave all great reviews for this hotel. The property is going to be amazing once done! Right on the beach, outside bar facing the sea. Boutique style hotel. Nice decor. Check in lady was amazing, Naeema greeted us with lavender towels and champagne. They do hold $100 incidentals. My trip went COMPLETELY sour the last night. July 7th there was a party there. We came upstairs to find out room door slightly ajar and my fiances wallet was gone. Nothing else mossong but we intentionally left his wallet in the drawer nightstand and it went missing. The next day wheb we alerted staff, the front desk lady, Alicia, showed little concern. She then proceeded to ask for a credit card to pay for the bar for $3. She took my card and I joticed she attempted to run my card at checkout for another $100. She lied and said they didnt have a card on file and kept demanding $100 at checkout. I fought and am fighting it. She then went in and started charging our card in increments $1, $3, then $40 with no receipt. She then told us we were"not welcomed there" anymore. Idk whay she was attenpting to pull, but we ended up having to dispute any additional charges with our. Would not stay here again!
