Though clean, this is a very no frills and old style furnishings. The gardens are gorgeous. It is not close to walk to town, but a short drive. Great for economical travel.

Roomy and clean but not much ambience
Extremely friendly concierge named Alejandro. We needed to check out an hour later than scheduled and were accommodated. Two minute drive to the town of La Fortuna. FYI - drive, don't walk. Walking is dangerous! Road is winding and there is no shoulder. VERY CLOSE to the famous La Fortuna waterfall. Bear in mind this is not a hotel, it is a vacation rental, and there is no coffee provided and no maid service unless you pay extra. However, there was fresh fruit in the fridge!!!!! Very roomy, but only one bed has privacy.The other beds are out in the open in the living area. Clean. A/C worked great. Wonderful, thick bath towels. Lots of kitchen appliances. Furniture is limited but adequate. Lighting is overhead bare bulbs, no lamps. Quite a bit of noise at all hours as guests come and go - cars are parked in the carports attached to each unit. No view, but pretty ferns and flowers at each door. There is a lovely garden in the back with steps down to the river. Overall, a good location (if you have a car) and a nice, comfortable break from cramped hotel rooms.

Nice place to stay in la fortuna
Very clean and nice, bathroom was tight for family of five, stairs no was size of a soup bowl, little bigger! Noise from neighbors was heard through joint walls. I still liked the full clean and new kitchen, very polished clean tiles. Nature walk was a bonus. They should increase quota of toilet paper. The guys at reception desk were very nice

Relatively secluded, but still close to town. The space is just enough for a family of four. The garden in the back with the stream is very pretty.

Very roomy with three comfortable king size beds. Completely remodeled room with full kitchen and excellent AC. Convenient parking next to the room.

Beautiful and quiet cabin just outside town
We had a great time in La Fortuna. This hotel is super close to all the restaurants andtours, and only a couple of miles from the hot springs. You can see the beautiful volcano from the entrance to the hotel, as well. The hotel also has a private garden that is absolutely gorgeous and leads down to the little river. And the room - the room had three king beds, a full kitchen, and nice living room, everything you could want. The cherry on top was the fresh papaya, watermelon, and pineapple that the hotel left in the fridge for when we arrived.
