Le Castle River Hotel & Apartment

The photos does NOT match the website! Beware! The only thing decent was the service since they tried hard to make us happy but the condition of the hotel is not great. It has a musky, old furniture smell. Rooms were made up well enough but still had dead bugs in the corners and such. Toiletries were not always replaced daily despite daily cleaning.

There is a construction site blocking Le Castle's view of the river in front. The hotel staff needs to be more friendly and helpful to meet international standards. Rooms are acceptable. I will select a hotel nearer the river-front night market or Palace for my return trip - not Le Castle

The hotel is new and a few things were not quite finished, although this didn’t interrupt our stay. There is a nice pool and garden on the roof. The rooms are large, with a good size bathroom. It’s about 15/20 minute walk to the main shopping, restaurant area. There are a couple of small things that didn’t make it amazing, it was annoying to keep getting breakfast vouchers from reception each day, didn’t understand why we couldn’t have them all at the start of the stay. Restaurant wasn’t that busy, so staff were so attentive that it became annoying, they’d try to take your plate as you took your last mouthful. The toilet by the gym had clear glass in the door, doesn’t make it very private to use. We were on the eighth floor and could hear the busy road, if you were lower might be annoying to sleep.

It is a very nice place but it's still very new and there is a lot construction going on everywhere.
