This hotel company had three hotels in Kunming, all with the same name, in different parts of the city. The one we booked was closed for renovation when we arrived. The information desk lady at the airport called the second of the Plateau Pearl Hotels, for us. The lady at the hotel explained that they were very sorry, and offered a room for us at the same rate at either of their other hotels. She even booked a cab from hotel number 2 to hotel number 3, which we chose to stay at. And paid for the taxi! We spent one night at hotel number 2 then moved to hotel number three, where we had a two room suite. The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. Love this hotel and its people, we will be booking this hotel chain, again! 5 star treatment.
