Samann Grand

We were very impressed with Samaan Grand from start to finish! We stayed 1 night between flights, and every part of the stay exceeded our expectations. Our resort coordinated with Samaan Grand and they were waiting at the airport for us with a sign when we arrived to Male from our Maldives resort island. There was a lot of traffic and street closures on the way to the hotel but the driver was very skilled and the host was so kind. apologizing for the inconvenience and even carrying our bags to the hotel when the street closure wouldn’t allow their vehicle to drop us off at the door. Checkin was a breeze and the lobby was beautifully modern - this is a NEW hotel with stunning modern architecture and decor. The room itself was very nice with beautiful modern decor, very comfy bed and pillows, great smart home technology for lights, etc, and the bathroom shower was gorgeous. The room and bathroom wasn’t huge but they used every square inch perfectly and it just felt very comfortable and inviting for our overnight stay. There was a Nespresso machine we happily used in the morning (though you do pay for the espresso pods at checkout - which we were fine with). Free Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was stunning with all glass views and a great breakfast buffet that trended more Indian, but they will make you eggs or an omelette to order. Every staff member was beyond kind and helpful & the ride back to the airport perfection! Very highend feel to this wonderful stay. Impressive!

Extremely rude manager. I think he does not like westerners. Despite me having made a booking they had oversold the rooms and when I asked to speak to the manager, the receptionist rang him and passed the phone to me, he did not seem at all bothered that I had pre booked and paid yet the hotel had overbooked and the fact that as it was curfew time I was left with no where to stay at almost midnight. Disgraceful behaviour.

Excellent hotel with immaculate service! All staff are very professional but front desk has surprised me the most. Very happy with my experience. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Very modern. Lovely breakfast. Free transfers to and from airport. Stayed for one night before flying home and couldnt fault the place. Our room was above the mosque so very loud early morning call to prayer but for us this was a nice experience. They offer ear plugs for those that dont want to hear it.

Perfect for a night stop before or after travelling to a resort in the Maldives. Airport collection and delivery very efficient.

It was a pretty good spot... cozy, clean, and the staff was real hospitable.

This was a stopover hotel before our transfer, we chose a sea view, 4 star hotel. We got a middle of an alley city center, with a view of a massive megaphone 10 foot away which blasted every few hours. The transfer was good, the room small but good, the staff were good especially when asking about ear plugs :-( Breakfast was ok. Adhan i love but not when so close BUT no sleep which is the point, worst hotel stay i have ever had. Do not get a room on the 3rd floor!!

Room is a little small and this normal in Male and also the bed is little small and also there is no carpet in the room The location is about 10 min to the airport and the hotel arranged free shuttle The dinner I had on the 10th floor is great
