Had to give the hotel a star for close proximity to the main station and another one for good service since the employees were very service-minded. The rest was not much to brag about. Overall the hotel is run down, mouldy and with poor insulation. It was hard to stay in the room due to humidity and mould. Since the corridor had a similar mouldy smell, I suspect that most of the hotel has the same issues. Heard other guests whenever they moved about in the corridor or their room, almost like there was no door to our room at all. Similarly, we heard everything that happened on the street outside.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be close to the main station and accept sleeping in mould.
If anyone happens to wonder, it is worth mentioning that CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II and Branch III lie next to each other, that was not clear to me until I got to the hotel.
