Overall good stay, a few complaints but nothing we couldn’t bare. It’s my fiancés birthday getaway and we scavenged all over town to find a hotel with a private balcony attached to our room while also in a safe, controlled, environment. We prefer Marriott for the cleanliness, manners, & organization. We made the reservation online through a third party because I had quiet a few $$s in rewards available for a discount. (The room was quiet pricy without it.)
After doing so we called to make sure we could be assigned to a high floor room with a balcony attached. The receptionist was very short and moody. However she assured she’d take care of it and took down my last name.
We brushed it off and took on our drive to the hotel.
Here’s where it gets a little more unwelcoming. We check in, our room did not have a balcony. No problem, we requested one & received. We ended up on the second floor which was not the highest but it sufficed. Inspecting the room I found a condom; luckily it was unopened in a package & we are mature!! We laughed and tossed it. That evening we returned back to the hotel after a day full of events basically dark I stepped out to enjoy the breeze and look over the courtyard. I discovered that the balcony was disgusting! Covered with inches of dirt, some rocks that had been tracked in, and bird poop. No furniture to sit down on, no table to sit your drink on.. I recommend bringing a lawn chair and wearing shoes or your feet will be nasty!!Not worth the $
