Never again!!!
This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had! The first room that we were given was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Upon entering the room, our senses were accosted by an intense stench of marijuana smoke. Additionally, the door looked like it had been kicked in. We immediately called the front desk and they said that they would swap our room. We had to go back outside to the night window in the freezing cold to swap the room. The room that we were given, did not reek of marijuana smoke, but it did have a very prominent musty smell and was for lack of a better word, gross. In fact, we decided to sleep in our clothes (socks and all) and shower with flip flops on. We didn’t think we would get a better room if we asked to switch again, so we just went with it. The hotel seemed to not be in a great area because there were sirens going off frequently throughout the night. I was unable to get any sleep at all because the heater in the room would make a terrible sound every time it turned on and off. The sound was very similar to a door creaking open and since the area appeared to be unsafe, I could not relax and get any rest. The only option I had was to turn off the heater, but since it was freezing outside, I decided to keep it on in hopes that I would adjust and get used to the sound of the heater cutting on and off. Had I not already paid for the room (a nonrefundable room) we would have left. I wish I would have thought to take pics. This was a miserable experience!
