It's basic, and great for a budget stay. I booked it because of how close it was to Gare du Nord. It's in a neighbourhood with plenty of activity.
The only thing that was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING about the place was that you could not sleep in if you had a late night, there is no way to indicate "do not disturb". Housekeeping loudly knocked on my door, then yelled in French, and in my sleepy state I had to struggle to remember what French words I could use to say "come back later" or "no need". The lady kept trying to wake me up.
I mean, I get it, maybe Parisians don't sleep later than 9, but it was definitely one of the most annoying things I've experienced in a hotel.
