I recently stayed in a 1-bedroom harbour view room, expecting a premium experience for the steep price of nearly $1,400 per night. Unfortunately, the reality did not live up to the cost or expectations.
To start, the room itself felt underwhelming and did not reflect the luxury standard one would anticipate for the price. The furnishings and amenities seemed average at best, and while the view was beautiful, it didn’t compensate for the lack of refinement in the overall offering.
The service was another disappointment. I requested a late check-out, which was extended by only 30 minutes—a frustratingly tight timeline for such a premium booking. Even worse, housekeeping walked into the room unannounced after just a single knock, which was both intrusive and unprofessional.
To top it off, reception called exactly five minutes after the extended check-out time to remind me to vacate the room, adding unnecessary pressure to an already rushed experience.
For the price, I expected a seamless and indulgent stay, but instead, it felt rushed, impersonal, and lacking in the finer details that justify such a high rate. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation unless significant improvements are made in both service and the room standards.
