2/10 Poor
Aug 30, 2023
When I checked in I was told by the property they had problems getting paid by Expedia, so needed me to pay cash. They sent me screenshots showing they cancelled my booking on Expedia. I was forced to pay in cash.
I booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit for 5 people, but was given a 1 bedroom with 4 beds and 1 bathroom. The single beds smelled moldy. There was crumpling concrete around exposed pipes in the kitchen. It was not luxury, worse than a normal residence. The property said the 2 bedroom unit was occupied, if we wanted to leave after one night we could.
The property advertised as "Luxury aparthotel with free breakfast and spa services", but there was no breakfast at all. When I asked they said there was coffee and tea in the room, it was "dry breakfast". The spa was under construction. The unit I had was at the back of the house, at 3am in the middle of the night the pool pump went off sounding like a high pitched alarm, waking us all up.
Before checking out I contacted Expedia for the cancelation refund. Expedia tried to contact the property but couldn't get hold of them. I was assured by the property the cancelation was made correctly, and by Expedia that they would follow up with the property.
It's been 2 weeks but I still did not receive the refund. Expedia advised they couldn't get approval from the property for a refund, but did not provide any details of contact with the property.
This property is a scam. Helped by Expedia.
