8/10 – Zeer goed

As always, it was a pleasure to stay at the Mornington Hotel (previously known as The Boltons). The hotel has had a refurbishing recently and the reception area has gone from quite small to large, light and comfortable.
The room I stayed in (207) is a single room; the Mornington Hotel offers several of these single rooms. In general they are perfect for solo travelers, though do keep in mind this specific room has a very low ceiling and a miniature bathroom; if you are a tall or large person, this room might not be suitable for you.
Being at the back of the hotel, the room looks out over several gardens, which are quiet. Surprisingly, the room has quite a lot of floor space (which is a plus); the desk is very small, perhaps not an ideal size if you are in London for work.
The room was clean, the towels were fresh and soft and the electric tea kettle and coffee/ tea available in the room were greatly appreciated.
Though the bathroom is small, the rain shower is lovely.
The hotel's staff is friendly and helpful; the hotel's location is ideal, close to Earl's Court station and with several shops, pubs, restaurants and fastfood establishments right around the corner.
All in all, the Mornington Hotel offers good value for money; if you are looking for comfort and easy access to the heart of London, this is an excellent accommodation to stay at.
