We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent. Room was beautiful. Very quiet n almost boutique like. Beautiful views. Giving a 4 because of a few small issues but nothing that would prevent us from coming back.

Wonderful staff. Great location. Bed was comfy, but the showers were barely usable due to water temperature.

Definitely an unexpected find amongst the usual downtown hotels you typically have. Such a gem, will be back no doubt!!

Beautiful and quiet way to enjoy a stay in the city without having the crazy of the city at night right outside your door. Very nice views, beautiful walking paths all around the area easy access to all kinds of places all within walking distance. Over all it is a beautiful get away and very charming.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Location is a lovely quiet area easily walkable to a number of cafes and restaurants. The hotel restaurant has a dog friendly patio. The food and drinks were tasty and service was great. The room was clean and well kept with a romantic historic feel.

Great location- but nothing much open on a Monday. Love the free parking and the natural setting right in town. Very few people in the hotel during my 2 nights but somehow managed to get a room directly across from another guest, so there was some hallway noise that could have been avoided.

This is the way hotels should be. Forget the big corporate hotels. It's old and that is what is great about it. But also the staff is very attentive and caring. Worth every penny.

Nicollet Island Inn offers a charming and quaint experience, steeped in nostalgia with its vintage furniture and classic style. The staff were consistently friendly and responsive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The inn is impressively clean, which was a standout feature. However, I found the continental breakfast quite underwhelming—just coffee, a few muffins, and a couple of apples, leaving much to be desired. For remote workers, this may not be the ideal spot, as the internet speed was painfully slow and unreliable. Additionally, the on-site restaurant was closed on both Monday and Tuesday during my stay, which was disappointing. While it has its charm, there are definitely areas for improvement.

A unique location that feels outside the city, but is a 20 min. walk to downtown. It's surrounded by nature and the hotel itself is lovely and looks like something out of a novel. The inside of the hotel shares the same rustic feeling on the main floor. Our room was clean overall but the tub and bathroom were kind of grungy. The room also lacked a fridge. The continental breakfast was fairly lackluster, though appreciated for something quick before checkout, with fruit, yogurt and muffins as your options. The staff overall was pleasant and there was plenty of parking.

I had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was lovely. Next time I will request a river view! The room was comfortable, but a little noisy. I don't know if it was the HVAC or what but it ran constantly. I had to call the front desk to regulate the temperature of the room, but they were very responsive.

4/10 Fair

The staff were gracious. This hotel needs a serious refreshing. Probably still circa 1982 when it opened. no in room control of the air conditioning which at the warmest level was freezing. AC Fan particularly noisy never stopped. Bathroom fan would spontaneously turn itself on and could not be turned off. Shower soap dispensers fell apart. Rooms tired and worn. initially had a “superior corner room” and windows opened up onto two large industrial kitchen vents (food smell). Moved to a “lesser room“ ; inn kept the full superior pricing. Windows had to be propped open (old rotted frames). Hotel “ran out” of bottled water, we had to find on our own. Great location, clean linens, nice staff, charming historic building that has not been refreshed this century. Not value for money.
