Our room in the Aurora building was decent, beautiful view, comfortable beds with fresh bedding and clean bathrooms. However, the kitchen cupboards were dirty, the dishwasher needed cleaning, the carpets were stained, and a picture frame in the main bathroom was cracked.
On the plus side, the heating and fireplaces worked well, and the TV had a good selection for the kids. The pool is outdated and small, with undersized towels, but the hot tub is spacious with lots of jets. Parking was plentiful underground to keep vehicles warm but there is also a ton of street parking if your vehicle is too big (such as a lifted truck).
The first floor of our building was under renovation, and the elevator was out of service, making luggage and groceries a hassle. Our robes were missing when we checked in, but the front desk was very helpful on resolving that. Accessing the pool/gym through the parkade or outdoor courtyard wasn’t ideal and a little strange.
