Good hotel, great location
The hotel rooms are really small, but everything is small in Hong Kong. However the rooms were really clean and there is a fridge and microwave in the hallway, not in the room even though it seems that way from the hotel description. The location is great, everything you need is nearby. It is a good hotel for a few nights, but if you want luxury you have to book something else, this hotel is really basic.
The staff is great, they try to help you in any way they can. Arian dragged my suitcase up 4 floors and it was really heavy, so thank you.
The thing I really did not like was that I had to change rooms, which is no problem. But they took all my stuff from my room and moved it to another room without me being there! Big no go! They meant well, but it really felt like an invasion of my privacy.
Chungking Mansions is really hectic, lots of salesmen want to rip you off, do not buy a sim-card here, just go the mobile provider shop. At first it is a bit hard to find the place, you have to go to the back and take the right elevator there. Also there was an elevator to the 16th floor, but the hotel is at the 17th floor, prepare to drag your suitcases upstairs!
